We had a fun activity during training today. I'd heard of it before but I hadn't had the opportunity to take part in something like it until now. Our trainer, Fjel, asked us to imagine what World War III would be like. Person after person pitched in ideas, bringing to the fore the attendant elements of war such as violence, abuse, chaos, fear, death, bloodbaths, etc. Then she led the discussion into talk regarding how massively damaging a potential eruption of World War III could be to humans and to Earth itself at this time and age. We all agreed on the possibility of total nuclear annihilation of all life forms on earth and the resultant impossibility of human survival. It would be the end of life as we know it. In fact, it would simply be the end. Or so we thought. Fjel asked us to imagine that we were in that war. A dear angel post.

I wonder what I'm going to do with you today. Or tonight, actually. What shall I tell you? I've actually not much to say. Nothing much going on with my life. My life is only so everyday. How about if I tell you the boring details of my day? You know, Anne Frank lived only in some obscure basement for most of her young and short life but she managed to write out a best-seller diary anyway. She was very personal with it, sort of like how I am with this blog. She even has a name for her diary. We say, or rather, we write, "Dear Diary," but she begins hers with "Dear Kitty". That's right. Her diary's name is Kitty. And taking after her, I've decided to name this blog "Angel". :) Just so you know. Clyde introduced me to this new website today. I'm sorry, that's incorrect. valentines 2011

I had almost forgotten that it was valentines that day. I tried to recall how I spent last year's valentines but for a moment, my mind was blank until it came to me that I had spent it at the Hot Air Balloon Festival held in Subic that year. I was with Clyde, Cherry, Maricel, Cress, et al. that day. I got off the tricycle at our gate to find my brother's car waiting for its passengers. We were going to head off to this swimming pool resort called Bethany - me, my sister, Ate Irene, Ate Ruth, Ruro, Renz and Manoy Rudyard. What was the occasion, I wondered. Oh, it was valentines. I had forgotten. I hurriedly got into the house, debated whether to take my laptop or the portable DVD player, then decided on the latter, not wanting to risk my precious laptop getting wet in the event that it might.
