if 2011 were a movie...

January - it's a beginning.

How I love beginnings. The KLM video showing the little girl reminded me again of how life is a journey, made up also of greater and lesser journeys, and greater and lesser destinations. And that yes, destinations are important, but "getting there is half the fun." Don't forget to have fun. Don't forget that as you strive for those goals, the journey to them counts and that - it's, to quote, "half the fun." Enjoy. And take care of those 'small' moments and decisions that make the journey.

Now I realize why seeing that video resounded something in my heart. It's experiencing wonder and seeing the magic... Er - yes, it's as the saying goes, taking time to smell the flowers, or in this case, taking the time to hold a shell up to your ear and listen to the rushing waves of the ocean. (Is that what you hear when you hold a shell to your ear? Hehe. I forgot.) It's taking the time to appreciate the miracle of life and what makes it worthwhile.

And while I plan to go back to that video time and again, just for its simple reminder, for those times when all I might see is the goal, and I forget the journey, and the person it makes out of me, I'd like to showcase other videos as well in order to remind myself and celebrate the magic of beginnings. January is a beginning. 2011 is a beginning. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are beginnings.

So...if 2011 were a movie...(drumroll and trumpet blasts), let's see our opening billboards, hehe...

I thought that I should begin documenting my "firsts," something I haven't done before but maybe something I ought to begin doing now. conceit and humility :)

The following is a vague but accurate account in my estimation. It is vague in the sense that I am not able to reproduce each utterance exactly to the letter and accurate in that it pretty much captures the gist of the conversation that took place. :) Characters: Ivy - sitting on a single sofa Abbey, Cory, and Clyde - sitting side-by-side on a three-person couch Therefore, x xxx Abbey was holding my cellphone in her hands and had undertook to play Bounce Tales. for our trainer

I just wanted to have some sort of remembrance for the whole thing. For our trainer Fjel - thank you so much for making CCT a nice and wonderful experience. I enjoyed it very much; you were a great trainer and I loved your clothes and accessories. And I can't help it but I feel grateful to be given the passing grades needed to get to the next part of my training. Happy to serve!
