feeling the blues

for some reason, i hate my job right now.

this is the only photo that i have to remember this day by. thank you, first and foremost, to God for having my brother safe and sound, and thank you to my brother for the favors he did me today. thank you to Kuya Joel for being with me and my brother and facilitating our trip today and thank you to the uber drivers who led us to and fro our various destinations and ensured our safety. thank God nothing untoward occurred. thankful. 4/18/2017

somber sunday

- when your project manager is irresponsible by neglecting to attend to matters where you are to receive the compensation due you - and you have to ask your brother, who just got back from overseas work, to fend for you, when he's not even comfortably well off - and then you and he have to go visit your incarcerated father at his initiative because he is genuinely concerned - the moment the father sees his two children: one gets up to reach for the father's hand to bring to his forehead while the other just sits there, impassive and detached - but the father reaches for the daughter instead and hugs her (which she does not return), lodging away the gesture of the son in the process, hay naku - observed by the daughter with no reaction but with a disapproval that she does not show - and you're interrogated regarding your life, when you have no intention at all of giving answers that indicate a positive and encouraging status in life, or that signify treading a

temparament

today, i have two important papers waiting for me to write them - one is on a policy to get more allocations to the regions, the other is on a labor market study on region 6. right now, i'm hating writing both papers, for different reasons. i spent the whole night looking for something to help me write the paper - inspiration, helpful words from a friend, but i got nothing to get me going. the best thing that i found was this, written by seth godin on his blog. it's about temperament and mastering it. right now, it's probably what i need to hear. thank you for writing it, mr. godin. :) Temperament is a skill Throwing tantrums, calling names, not doing the reading, making things up, demonizing the other, impulsivity, egomaniacal narcissism, breaking big promises...
