hot plate

i spent the afternoon and the rest of the evening today with Lala and Allison. first off, i met up with lala at 3pm in fullybooked after which we proceeded to while away time at coffee bean.

being incredibly decisive people (hehe), we vacillated endlessly from option to option on what to eat, what to drink, how to spend the rest of the early evening till after a few forevers, we finally decided somehow on a course of unplanned action. =)

so to map out our light trek throughout the familiar spaces of malls and quezon city, lala and i met at fullybooked (initial starting point, although the initial initial starting point is really our respective houses), then we went to coffee bean, then we headed to watson's for our womanly toiletries, afterwhich we decided to check out __________, then we made a stop at ________. allison joined us at blank no. 1 and after passing through blank no. 2, we went to the department store to look at shoes. (just look, not buy...sigh). lala wanted to take me to this restaurant called Wicked Kitchen with the hope of introducing to me a supposedly mouth-watering dish so-named Gluttony. she claims it's better than shakey's watchamacallit(?) offering of warm baked chocolate marble cookie with 3 scoops of ice cream on top and she bid me to just try their delicious lasagna.

i get wistful thinking of all that food that i didn't get to eat 'cause sadly, the already famous (to me) Wicked Kitchen was closed in observance of this holiday. so we trekked a couple more winding routes and voila! allison led us to tomas morato! yey! we had dinner at napoli, where they served us pesto pasta, lasagna and meatball spaghetti.

i had the meatball spaghetti...and by that time, i had been so hungry that after happily eating forkfuls of the dish, i was smiling satisfied like the cheshire cat. (purr).

funny thing happened though. when the waiter finally arrived serving the last dish for our table, which was my spag, he cautioned twice, "hot plate po, ma'am, hot plate." hearing but perhaps not really listening, i reached for my plate anyway, and with an instantaneous exclamation of "Ow!" i snatched my stinging hand away. quickly, i nursed it with lotion but as of now, it still sports a mild welt.

sometime during the walks of the night, i reminded lala of a certain time when both of us had been sitting side by side in a jeep, and i was humming the opening lines of the song Especially For You (that time, it had just been revived by MYMP). Especially for you, i wanna let you know what i've been going through... all serious, lala turned to me and said, "you know cor, that song contains a hidden sensual meaning..." and i said disbelievingly, "No..." but i paused in my humming and pondered anxiously over the lyrics...after a time, she snorted and said singsong, "Gullible!!!" Hahaha.

oh but don't worry, i'm sure i got her back for that mischief anyway, haha! =)

anyway, i hope they've arrived at their homes safe and sound, and i hope kuya edwin is fine and the small accident was just that - merely small...i thank the Lord and the Guardian Angels for such a happy simple time tonight. =)

Qoute for the day: (paraphrased by lala from 500 days of summer daw)

with him i was sure of everything i wasn't sure of with you...

FLOM!!! haha!

Goodnight everybody!
