When I was in college, I hadn't been living in bellecroft then but this boardmate I had back then (who, by the way, went on to continue post-grad studies in Cornell University) would hear this song that was current that time (2002). And she said that it reminded her of me.

It was because she saw how enraptured I sometimes was with college life and the college experience.

I got enraptured today. There are times when you go to the mall and it beckons to you in all its glory...all those glorious shops shining in white light. You'd think it was heaven.

I squeezed into my sked making it to one shop. It was Forever 21. I was sort of in a hurry and it was funny because as I was choosing some tops, the salesgirl was assisting me, and we both got excited over the blouses. Heehee.

I like my bought stuff. Clyde can borrow it anytime she wants. She saw it and then she said it was so me. I know, right? I lovit!! Hmmm...maybe I can help myself to her clothes as well. Joke lang, Clyde!

valentines 2011

I had almost forgotten that it was valentines that day. I tried to recall how I spent last year's valentines but for a moment, my mind was blank until it came to me that I had spent it at the Hot Air Balloon Festival held in Subic that year. I was with Clyde, Cherry, Maricel, Cress, et al. that day. I got off the tricycle at our gate to find my brother's car waiting for its passengers. We were going to head off to this swimming pool resort called Bethany - me, my sister, Ate Irene, Ate Ruth, Ruro, Renz and Manoy Rudyard. What was the occasion, I wondered. Oh, it was valentines. I had forgotten. I hurriedly got into the house, debated whether to take my laptop or the portable DVD player, then decided on the latter, not wanting to risk my precious laptop getting wet in the event that it might. And off we were and it was such a novel experience for me, maybe even a valentines to remember, because it was the first valentines that I ever celebrated with any of my family members. I

I lamented to my boardmates before: My Korean students don't laugh at my jokes. I pouted. "What jokes?" they asked. "Well," I explained. "My student and I were discussing an article about superstitions. And I asked him if he was superstitious. He said yes. And he said that he believes in dreams and that if one night he would have an awful dream, that he would absent himself from work the next day. And then I said to him: You know what, James, I'm superstitious too." "Really," he asked. "Yes," I affirmed. "I believe it is bad luck to believe in superstition." Silence. I waited for laughter. Nada. I smiled to myself. "I was just joking," I reassured him. "Anyway, going back to our discussion..."
